On October 18, the Paso Robles City Council will hold a hearing on the proposed Phillips 66 oil trains project and decide whether or not to formally oppose the project.
Last week, our community and cities all along the rail routes won a major victory when the San Luis Obispo County Planning Commission voted to deny the Phillips 66 oil trains project. However, that decision can still be appealed to the SLO County Board of Supervisors.
Paso Robles has yet to take a formal position on the Phillips 66 project. This is particularly important because Paso Robles is the biggest city in a key swing district at the County Board of Supervisors. It is possible that the supervisor representing Paso Robles could ultimately decide whether or not the Planning Commission’s bold denial of the Phillips 66 project will stand.
RSVP here and join us October 18 to urge the Paso Robles City Council to oppose the Phillips 66 oil trains project!
